Ceramic Crown

A dental crown is a custom cap that covers a damaged, heavily filled or root-treated tooth to restore its shape, strength and appearance. AllDent Berlin's standard option is a fully veneered ceramic crown — tooth-coloured and metal-free — at a fixed 800 €, with multi-unit bridges priced by the number of teeth replaced. Crowns and bridges are made by the centre's prosthodontic team and shade-matched to the surrounding teeth.

A crown is a tailor-made restoration that fits over the whole visible part of a tooth. It is used when a tooth is too broken down, cracked or heavily filled to be restored with a simple filling, or after root canal treatment when the weakened tooth needs protecting. By encasing the tooth, a crown restores its natural shape and biting surface and reduces the risk of further fracture. At AllDent Zahnzentrum Berlin the standard choice is a fully veneered ceramic crown: because it is metal-free, it avoids the dark line that can show at the gum with older metal-based crowns and gives a natural, translucent appearance suited to visible teeth. Treatment usually takes place over two stages. The tooth is first prepared and shaped, a precise scan or impression is taken, and a temporary crown is fitted while the permanent one is made; at the second visit the definitive crown is tried in, adjusted for a comfortable bite and bonded into place. Where several teeth are missing in a row, the same prosthodontic team can make a bridge — a set of linked crowns that spans the gap and is anchored to the teeth on either side. Bridges are priced by the number of units, with a three-unit bridge at 1,900 € and a five-unit bridge at 3,100 €. Shade and shape are planned to blend with the neighbouring teeth.
