Preparation required

Abdominal MRI: fast 2–3 hours before. Small intestine (MR enterography): avoid gas-producing foods for 2 days prior, fast on the day. All other regions: no special preparation required — take regular medications as normal. Remove jewellery, piercings, and metal objects before entering the scanner room.
