Examinations cover the abdomen, small intestine (MR enterography), chest, pancreas, prostate, small pelvis, and whole-body scans, each completed in 20–30 minutes with a written radiologist report. The 3T field strength produces signal-to-noise ratios twice those of standard hospital MRIs, which translates to sharper soft-tissue contrast and the ability to detect lesions that lower-field scanners may miss. The scanner's wide-bore design (70 cm aperture) accommodates patients of all builds and significantly reduces the sense of confinement that many find distressing. For patients who still experience anxiety, the department provides audio-visual glasses that allow viewing a film or listening to music throughout the examination. Available examinations include the abdominal region, small intestine via MR enterography (which maps the entire bowel without radiation), chest and combined chest-abdomen imaging, pancreas, prostate, small pelvis, and whole-body MRI. Examination duration is typically 20–30 minutes depending on the body region and whether contrast agent is required. Preparation varies by body region. Abdominal scans require a 2–3 hour fast. Small intestine MR enterography demands a two-day low-fibre, gas-free diet followed by a same-day fast. All other regions require no special preparation — regular medications should be taken as normal. Patients receive an informed consent form and hearing protection before entering the scanner room, along with a call button for continuous communication with the radiologist throughout the procedure. Results are delivered as a written radiologist report, typically within one week of examination. A QR code enabling digital access to the scan recording costs 150 Kč; a printed copy costs 125 Kč.
