The Exilite device emits broad-spectrum light that is selectively absorbed by melanin in the hair follicle, heating and disabling it while leaving surrounding skin undamaged. Sessions are quick, require no anaesthesia, and a 4+1 package structure gives 20% savings on the single-session rate. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) hair reduction at AKESO Dermatologie uses the Exilite system — a professional-grade device that delivers precisely controlled broad-spectrum light pulses tuned to the melanin absorption window (approximately 650–1,200 nm). When absorbed by the melanin pigment in the hair shaft and follicle bulb, the light energy is converted to heat, thermally damaging the germinative cells responsible for hair regrowth without significantly heating the surrounding dermis. Because only hairs in the active growth phase (anagen) are effectively targeted, a course of multiple sessions — typically 4–6 for most body areas — is required to progressively treat all follicles as they cycle through the growth phase. The 4+1 package (pay for 4, receive the 5th session free) provides a structured, cost-effective way to complete an initial course.
