Hyperbaric oxygen therapy at AIVA Institut für Vitalität und Ästhetik, marketed as part of the clinic's regenerative-medicine programme. AIVA references HBOT for tinnitus, post-surgery recovery, sports injuries, and anti-aging support. Soft-shell mild-HBOT chamber operated alongside the clinic's broader aesthetic and longevity offering.

About this treatment

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) at AIVA Institut is delivered as a soft-shell mild-HBOT session in their Biesdorf clinic, positioned within the broader regenerative-medicine programme alongside aesthetic and longevity services.

During a session you lie inside a pressurised chamber while breathing oxygen-enriched air. The elevated atmospheric pressure (around 1.4 ATA, similar to diving 4–5 metres below sea level) increases the amount of oxygen dissolved in blood plasma, allowing it to reach tissues that may have compromised circulation. The session is calm and most clients report it feels like resting in a quiet enclosed space.

Who is this for?

Adults seeking recovery support after surgery or sports injury, those exploring tinnitus management protocols, or anti-aging optimisation as part of a longer-term wellness plan. Mild HBOT — not a substitute for clinical-grade HBOT in conditions that require ≥2.0 ATA hospital protocols (decompression sickness, severe non-healing wounds, etc.).

Preparation required

Avoid alcohol and heavy meals 2–3 hours before. Wear comfortable clothing without metal fastenings or strong fragrances. Inform staff of any cold/flu symptoms — ear-equalisation can be uncomfortable when congested. Bring a water bottle. Sessions are not advised during pregnancy, with active middle-ear infection, untreated pneumothorax, or recent ear surgery. Discuss any medical conditions with AIVA staff before booking.
