The Fotona SP Dynamis Pro is a Class IV medical laser system combining two laser wavelengths — a 2,940 nm Erbium:YAG (Er:YAG) and a 1,064 nm Neodymium:YAG (Nd:YAG) — with multiple handpieces, pulse-mode variations (VSP, MSP, LP, VLP), and proprietary application protocols developed by Fotona over decades of clinical use. This dual-wavelength architecture means a single system can precisely target different depths and tissue types without switching machines. **Fotona 4D® Laser Lifting:** The flagship non-surgical facelift protocol using four sequential Nd:YAG and Er:YAG passes: SMOOTH® intraoral (tightens the oral mucosa from inside), FRAC3® deep volumetric heating, PIANO® bulk heating of the dermis and subcutaneous tissue, and SUPERFICIAL® light pass for surface renewal. Together they thermally contract collagen, stimulate neocollagenesis, and provide a visible lifting effect with no ablation and no downtime. Results build over 6–12 weeks and last 12–18 months. **SmoothEye™:** A specialised SMOOTH® protocol applied around the periorbital zone to tighten the delicate skin of the lower and upper eyelids — reducing wrinkles and improving laxity without surgery. No topical anaesthetic needed. **LipLase™:** Nd:YAG and Er:YAG combination applied to the lip mucosa and the vermilion border. Non-invasively plumps, defines the lip border, and reduces perioral wrinkles by stimulating collagen and hyaluronic acid production in the tissue. Healing takes 3–7 days. **Full-surface resurfacing:** Full-field Er:YAG ablation for deeper skin renewal — more aggressive downtime (7–14 days), significantly more dramatic textural correction. **Laser hair removal:** Long-pulse Nd:YAG targets melanin in hair follicles, heating and destroying the follicle without damaging surrounding skin. Effective on all skin types including darker tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI) where IPL can be unsafe. Multiple sessions (6–8) spaced 4–8 weeks apart are needed to treat hair in the active anagen growth phase. **Pigment removal:** Short-pulse Er:YAG and Nd:YAG ablate or thermally disrupt melanin in lentigines, seborrhoeic keratoses, and other benign pigmented lesions. **Acne treatment:** Nd:YAG reduces sebaceous gland activity, destroys Cutibacterium acnes bacteria, and improves active inflammatory acne lesions. Useful as a drug-free adjunct or for patients who cannot tolerate topical retinoids. **Onychomycosis (nail fungus):** Nd:YAG penetrates the nail plate to thermally destroy fungal elements — a non-pharmacological alternative to oral antifungals. **Laser lipolysis:** Continuous Nd:YAG applied transcutaneously to lyse adipocytes in localised fat deposits — particularly under the chin or in small body areas. Complementary to TightSculpting™. **Safety and preparation:** All laser sessions begin with a skin assessment and, for hair removal, a patch test at least one week before the full session. Sun exposure must be avoided for 4 weeks pre- and post-laser on treated areas. SPF 50+ is mandatory post-treatment. Ablative procedures require mild topical anaesthetic; most non-ablative protocols are comfortable without it.
