The Advanced Blood Test is Ahead Health's standalone blood testing service, available independently of the MRI packages for clients who want deep biomarker analysis without imaging. The 81-marker panel is drawn at Z-Point Zurich, a dedicated laboratory operated by ZetLab in central Zurich, a few minutes' walk from Zurich Hauptbahnhof. The entire draw takes approximately 15 minutes, though an 8-to-12-hour fast is required beforehand. The cardiovascular section goes beyond standard cholesterol to include apolipoprotein B, which is increasingly recognised as the single best blood marker for cardiovascular risk, alongside high-sensitivity C-reactive protein for vascular inflammation. The metabolic section includes both fasting glucose and insulin plus the calculated HOMA-IR index, which identifies insulin resistance at a stage when standard glucose tests still appear normal. HbA1c provides a three-month average blood sugar reading. The panel also covers thyroid hormones (TSH, free T3, free T4), liver function across five enzymes, kidney function including estimated glomerular filtration rate, and a comprehensive iron panel that goes beyond simple ferritin to include TIBC and transferrin saturation. A full blood count with differential white cell count, vitamin D, and additional nutrient markers round out the assessment. Results are delivered through the Ahead Health portal in 5 to 7 business days with clear normal-range indicators and trend tracking for repeat tests. A physician review is included to contextualise findings and recommend follow-up actions.
