AGELLAB's Allergy Package uses ALEX, a molecular multiplex allergy test that screens a single blood sample against a very wide range of allergen sources — on the order of 160 — covering inhalant allergens (such as pollens, house-dust mites and animal dander) and food allergens in one analysis. Unlike testing one suspected allergen at a time, this component-resolved approach measures responses to many individual allergen molecules simultaneously, which can reveal both what a person reacts to and the strength of each reaction. This breadth is particularly useful for people with multiple or unclear allergy symptoms, where a broad map helps focus subsequent management, and component-level detail can sometimes distinguish primary sensitisations from cross-reactions. The results are most valuable when interpreted by an allergist alongside the clinical history, since a measurable response does not always equate to a clinically relevant allergy. The analysis is performed in ISO 15189-accredited AGEL-group laboratories.
