The two spinal sections MRI at AGEL Praha allows patients to combine any two of the three spinal regions -- cervical (neck), thoracic (mid-back), or lumbar (lower back) -- into a single examination session lasting approximately 45 minutes. The most common combinations are cervical plus lumbar (for patients with both neck and lower back symptoms) and thoracic plus lumbar (for those with mid-to-lower back pain), though any pairing is available. Each section receives the same detailed assessment as a standalone scan: intervertebral disc morphology (herniations, bulging, desiccation), spinal canal dimensions and stenosis grading, facet joint arthropathy, vertebral body alignment, nerve root compression at foraminal level, and spinal cord or cauda equina signal characteristics. The Siemens MAGNETOM Sola 1.5T scanner produces high-resolution sagittal and axial images across both regions. This package is well-suited for patients whose symptoms span more than one spinal level. Multi-level spinal pathology is common -- degenerative disc disease rarely confines itself to a single segment, and individuals with cervical spondylosis frequently have concurrent lumbar degeneration. Scanning two regions in one session ensures complete coverage without gaps and provides the radiologist with a broader picture of the spinal column. At 13,800 CZK (approximately EUR 565), the two-section package offers a significant reduction compared to booking two single-region scans separately at 8,800 CZK each (17,600 CZK total). The 45-minute appointment is also more time-efficient than scheduling two separate visits.
