Type
MRI Scan
Duration
35 min
Combined brain MRI with MR angiography of the intracranial arteries. Maps the circle of Willis and major cerebral vessels alongside parenchymal brain imaging in one session.
This combined study pairs the standard brain MRI protocol with time-of-flight MR angiography of the intracranial vasculature. The brain component assesses the parenchyma for structural pathology while the angiographic sequences visualise the circle of Willis, anterior, middle, and posterior cerebral arteries, and the basilar artery system. At approximately 70,000 HUF (around EUR 175), this package provides meaningful value compared to booking the two studies separately. The examination is particularly indicated for patients with thunderclap headache, family history of intracranial aneurysm, transient ischaemic attacks, or unexplained neurological symptoms where both structural and vascular causes need exclusion. The non-contrast angiographic technique (TOF) eliminates the need for gadolinium injection while still producing diagnostic-quality vessel maps. Total scan time is approximately 35 minutes.
