Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid, PLLA) represents a fundamentally different approach to facial rejuvenation compared to conventional hyaluronic acid fillers. While hyaluronic acid adds volume directly and immediately at the injection site, Sculptra works as a biostimulator — the injected PLLA microparticles trigger a localised inflammatory response that stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen in the surrounding tissue.
