iPRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin)

iPRF uses the patient’s own blood. The clinic specifies a full blood count before the procedure, followed by blood collection and centrifugation in a horizontal centrifuge to separate and concentrate platelets within plasma. The liquid fibrin is then injected into targeted areas and should be administered within approximately five minutes after centrifugation. The clinic advises preparation for the two weeks before treatment: drink 2–2.5 litres of fluids daily, avoid alcohol, reduce sugar and trans fats, eat more vegetables, and take vitamin C, chelated zinc and spirulina. Do not take aspirin for 24 hours beforehand, and stop medicines affecting blood clotting plus Gingko Biloba products or supplements five days before treatment, but medication changes should be confirmed with the prescribing clinician.

Aftercare includes no makeup for 24 hours, no alcohol for 48 hours, avoiding sun for two weeks with SPF 50, and avoiding sauna, solarium, swimming pools and gym for one week.
