Mesotherapy
Duration
45 min
Mesotherapy at Aaron Laser delivers a precisely formulated cocktail of vitamins, amino acids, coenzymes and hyaluronic acid directly into the dermis via multiple fine micro-injections placed 1–2 mm below the skin surface. Unlike topical serums, this direct delivery pathway means active ingredients reach the target tissue before any barrier metabolism occurs, supporting collagen production, skin hydration and fine-line reduction. The procedure is performed under EMLA topical anaesthetic cream to minimise discomfort. Post-treatment you can expect mild facial swelling and redness that subsides within 2–3 days. Results last up to 6 months.
Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive dermatological technique developed in France in the 1950s that has been validated in peer-reviewed research for skin rejuvenation, hydration and fine-line reduction. At Aaron Laser, it is carried out by the clinic's specialist dermatologists, who prepare the injection cocktail according to the individual patient's skin needs after an initial assessment. The active ingredients injected at Aaron Laser include vitamins (particularly B-complex and vitamin C), amino acids, coenzymes that support cellular energy metabolism, and hyaluronic acid — a molecule that binds large quantities of water and restores dermal plumpness. When delivered by micro-injection into the papillary and reticular dermis at a depth of 1–2 mm, these molecules bypass the epidermal barrier entirely and reach the fibroblasts and other dermal cells at the concentration needed to stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis. Before the session begins, EMLA anaesthetic cream is applied and allowed to work for 30–45 minutes. The physician then uses a very fine needle to make multiple small punctures in a grid or whipping pattern across the treatment area. The sensation during injection is a series of small pinpricks, greatly reduced by the EMLA. Post-treatment, the skin may show mild redness and small papules at the injection sites for 2–3 days as a normal inflammatory response; these resolve without intervention. For initial skin rejuvenation, a course of sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart is recommended, typically 3–6 sessions. Thereafter a maintenance session every 2–3 months sustains the result, with a full course once every 6 months for long-term benefit. Patients with dull, dehydrated or fine-lined skin, or those managing the early signs of photoageing, are the most common candidates. The treatment is not suitable during pregnancy or for patients with known sensitivities to any component of the injection cocktail.
