Aaron Laser's medical chemical peel is a physician-supervised skin-renewal treatment using acid solutions to remove damaged outer skin layers and trigger the regeneration of smoother, clearer skin underneath. Unlike cosmetic peels, the formulations used here are selected by dermatologists based on a clinical assessment of skin type and the conditions being treated — acne scars, enlarged pores, fine wrinkles, pigmentation and general skin tightening are the main indications. A course of 3–4 sessions spaced 2–3 weeks apart produces the most pronounced result. Mandatory sun avoidance for one month after treatment protects the newly formed skin and prevents rebound pigmentation.
Chemical peeling is one of the oldest and most evidence-based skin-renewal modalities in dermatology, with multiple peer-reviewed studies demonstrating efficacy for photoageing, acne scarring, dyspigmentation and superficial wrinkling. At Aaron Laser, peels are prescribed and applied by dermatovenereology specialists, not beauticians, which means the acid type, concentration and contact time are matched to a clinical assessment of the patient's Fitzpatrick skin type, treatment history and therapeutic goals. The chemical solution — which may be alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), trichloroacetic acid (TCA) or another formulation based on the indication — is applied to the cleansed skin surface. It disrupts the intercellular bonds of the epidermis and triggers a controlled inflammatory response in the papillary dermis that upregulates collagen synthesis and accelerates cellular turnover. Superficial peels cause mild redness for a few hours and produce very subtle peeling over 3–5 days; medium-depth peels produce more visible exfoliation. Treated indications at this clinic include acne and acne-related scarring, enlarged pores, superficial fine lines, uneven pigmentation and skin with reduced firmness. The Red Peel method — combining a medium-depth chemical peel with LED red-light therapy — is also offered for enhanced hyperpigmentation clearance. A course of 3–4 sessions 2–3 weeks apart is the standard protocol; results improve cumulatively. After each session, sun protection with a minimum SPF 50+ for one calendar month is non-negotiable to prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in the newly sensitised skin. Patients who are pregnant, on oral retinoids or who have active skin infections are not suitable candidates.
