Type
Microneedling
Duration
45 min
Dermapen microneedling at Aaron Laser uses an electronic pen fitted with a disposable, sterile needle cartridge to create thousands of micro-channels in the skin at a controlled depth of 0.25–2.5 mm. These micro-injuries — too small to damage surrounding tissue — trigger the skin's collagen and elastin repair response. Active serums such as hyaluronic acid, blood plasma or vitamin complexes are applied during the session and absorbed up to 80 per cent more deeply through the open channels than standard topical application allows. Results become visible after the first session and continue improving for up to six months after the full course, as collagen remodelling progresses. Acne scars, stretch marks, fine lines, pore refinement and general skin elasticity are the primary indications.
Microneedling with the Dermapen at Aaron Laser is a physician-supervised procedure that delivers controlled, mechanical microtrauma to stimulate the dermal repair mechanisms responsible for producing new collagen and elastin. The device uses a motorised cartridge with multiple ultra-fine needles that oscillate at high frequency, creating a series of micro-perforations in a precise pattern without the pressure or drag associated with manual rollers. The needle penetration depth is electronically adjustable from 0.25 mm for superficial skin-texture refinement to 2.5 mm for deeper-seated acne scars or stretch marks — the depth is selected by the treating physician based on the target indication and the skin thickness of the specific zone being treated. The high-speed automated insertion means each needle enters and exits vertically, minimising tissue distortion and post-treatment discomfort relative to angled needle delivery. Before the session, the skin is cleansed and may be anaesthetised topically for deeper settings. Active serums — hyaluronic acid solution, vitamin complexes, blood plasma or a combination — are applied to the skin surface and are driven through the micro-channels by the needling action, reaching the dermis at concentrations far exceeding those achievable with standard topical application. For skin rejuvenation and fine-line reduction, a course of 4–6 sessions at 3–4 week intervals is recommended; acne scar reduction typically requires a minimum of 6 sessions; stretch marks may need up to 10 sessions at 4–6 week intervals. Improvement is noticeable after the first session and continues for up to six months after the final session as collagen synthesis progresses. Contra-indications include active acne breakouts, active infections, blood-clotting disorders and ongoing isotretinoin treatment.
