Simple thyroid test to determine if your thyroid is over or underactive.

Additional Information

The thyroid gland produces hormones that regulate growth and energy expenditure. Thyroid disorders are quite common, and many people don’t have any symptoms at all. This thyroid test screens for the thyroid hormones that play a key role in regulating the body’s metabolism. An abnormal thyroid test result can reveal fatigue and low energy levels, depression, unexplained weight gain (or loss), and many other symptoms. This test can help you work towards higher energy levels, improved hormone function, weight regulation and relief from other thyroid related symptoms.

Biomarkers Tested (3)

Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) (mIU/L)
Communicates with the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4, regulating metabolic functions. High levels indicate hypothyroidism, low levels hyperthyroidism.
Free thyroxine (FT4) (pmol/L)
Measures freely circulating thyroxine regulating metabolism. High levels indicate hyperthyroidism, low levels hypothyroidism.
Free triiodothyronine (FT3) (pmol/L)
Measures freely circulating triiodothyronine. High levels indicate hyperthyroidism, low levels hypothyroidism.
