Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel performs deep plane, SMAS, mini, and ponytail-effect facelift procedures from The Spiegel Center in Newton, MA. Techniques are selected to address the degree of facial and neck laxity, with deep plane surgery repositioning the structural SMAS layer rather than simply redrapin skin — producing more durable, natural-looking results that last 10–15 years. Procedures are performed under general anaesthesia at the attached Newton Surgery Center. Recovery to normal social activities typically occurs within two to three weeks. Adjunct procedures including blepharoplasty and fat transfer may be combined in one operative session.

Facelift (rhytidectomy) and mini facelift to address jowling, sagging mid-face tissue, deep nasolabial folds, and neck laxity through SMAS-layer repositioning and skin re-draping. Dr. Brooke R.
