MRI Scan
Duration
30 min
3T MRI of the neck soft tissues evaluating the cervical lymph nodes, salivary glands, pharynx, larynx, and thyroid region. Includes additional sequences for comprehensive assessment.
The neck soft tissue MRI at Sagena covers the extracranial neck from the skull base to the thoracic inlet, evaluating the cervical lymph node chains, parotid and submandibular salivary glands, pharyngeal and laryngeal structures, thyroid gland, and paravertebral soft tissues. The 3T MAGNETOM Vida provides superior resolution for detecting small lymph node metastases and characterising salivary gland lesions. This examination is commonly ordered for staging of head and neck cancers, investigation of cervical lymphadenopathy, characterisation of palpable neck masses, and assessment of salivary gland pathology. The additional sequences included in the price may cover diffusion-weighted imaging for improved tissue characterisation. At CZK 8,000 the neck MRI is priced at the same level as the brain and abdominal scans, reflecting the additional sequences and longer scan time required for comprehensive soft tissue assessment.
