3T MRI of a single spinal section covering the lumbosacral region. Evaluates discs, nerve roots, cauda equina, and facet joints for back pain and sciatica.
The lumbosacral spine MRI at Sagena provides detailed imaging of the lumbar vertebrae, intervertebral discs, spinal canal, and neural foramina from L1 through S1 on the 3T MAGNETOM Vida. The protocol includes sagittal T1, T2, and STIR sequences plus axial T2-weighted images through each disc level. The radiologist documents disc morphology at every level, grades central and foraminal stenosis, and notes facet joint and ligamentum flavum hypertrophy. The STIR sequence detects bone marrow oedema from acute fractures, infection, or inflammatory spondyloarthropathy. Priced at CZK 6,000 for a single spinal section. The cervical and thoracic segments are available at the same price per section. Contrast enhancement is available from CZK 1,200 when infection, inflammation, or post-surgical scarring is suspected.
