The General Check-up at AstraMED consolidates what would typically require weeks of separate appointments into a structured half-day assessment. The programme begins with an internist consultation that establishes baseline health status and directs the subsequent specialist evaluations. An ophthalmologist performs a full eye examination including visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and fundoscopy. The cardiologist reviews cardiovascular risk factors, performs an EKG, and interprets the results in the context of the patient's lipid profile and blood pressure history. A neurologist completes the specialist rotation with a neurological examination. The diagnostic imaging component includes abdominal ultrasound covering the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, and bladder. This non-invasive scan can detect structural abnormalities, gallstones, fatty liver disease, kidney stones, and other conditions that are frequently asymptomatic in their early stages. The laboratory panel is extensive, covering complete blood count, fasting glucose, full lipid profile (total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides), ferritin, vitamin D, TSH (thyroid function), and liver and kidney function markers including ALT, AST, creatinine, and urea. This combination of markers provides a broad metabolic, endocrine, and organ function overview. At 2,100 PLN (approximately €490), the package represents significant value compared to equivalent multi-specialist screenings in Western Europe, where individual specialist consultations alone can cost €150-300 each.
