The Check-up with Gynaecologist extends the standard general screening with a dedicated gynaecological assessment, creating the most thorough single-day female health screening at AstraMED. The programme includes all general check-up components — internist, ophthalmologist, cardiologist, and neurologist consultations, abdominal ultrasound, EKG, and full blood panel — plus a gynaecologist consultation, transvaginal or transabdominal pelvic ultrasound, and cervical cytology (Pap smear). The gynaecological component evaluates uterine and ovarian health via ultrasound, screens for cervical abnormalities through cytology, and provides an opportunity to discuss menstrual health, contraception, fertility concerns, or menopausal symptoms. The pelvic ultrasound can identify fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometrial abnormalities, and other structural findings that may be asymptomatic. Cervical cytology remains the primary screening tool for cervical cancer and pre-cancerous changes, recommended every 1-3 years depending on age and risk factors. The five-specialist format ensures that female-specific health concerns are assessed in the context of overall cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, and ophthalmological health. This integrated approach can reveal connections that siloed specialist visits miss — for example, thyroid dysfunction (detected via TSH in the blood panel) frequently manifests with gynaecological symptoms, and iron deficiency (ferritin) often relates to menstrual blood loss. At 2,500 PLN (approximately €585), the package adds 400 PLN to the standard general check-up for a gynaecological assessment that would typically cost €120-200 as a standalone appointment in Western Europe. The structured scheduling ensures adequate time with each specialist across the five-hour programme.
