The HydraFacial Signature at Ästhetik Institut Berlin is a multi-step, multi-handpiece facial treatment performed with the patented HydraFacial system — a device that simultaneously exfoliates, extracts, and infuses the skin using a spiral tip that creates a vortex effect at the skin surface. The Signature protocol covers the three core treatment steps in a 45-minute session with no required recovery time. The first step is cleansing and exfoliation. A mild AHA/BHA solution is delivered to the skin through the Vortex handpiece, loosening dead skin cells and sebum from the follicle openings while the spiral tip simultaneously vacuums away the debris. This combines the exfoliating effect of a light chemical peel with the mechanical clearing of a microdermabrasion in a single, painless pass. The second step is pore extraction. A salicylic acid and honey extract solution is applied to soften the sebaceous plugs and comedones inside the pores. The HydraFacial vacuum tip then extracts this material via painless suction — significantly more comfortable than manual extraction and less likely to cause post-extraction inflammation or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The extracted sebum and debris are deposited into a disposable waste cup visible to the patient, confirming the completeness of the extraction. The third and final step is hydration and serum infusion. The Vortex handpiece delivers a proprietary cocktail of hyaluronic acid (intense hydration), peptides (collagen synthesis support), and antioxidants including vitamins C and E (free radical neutralisation and brightening).
