This kidney function blood test evaluates the health and performance of your kidneys, vital organs responsible for filtering waste, balancing electrolytes, and regulating blood pressure. The test measures your estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) to gauge your kidneys' filtering capacity. An eGFR above 90 is considered normal, while values above 60 are usually acceptable.
